My husband and I come here all the time. The food is always amazing and the service is great. Very welcoming atmosphere and on the weekends there's karaoke where everyone is having a good time. 10/10 Definitely recommend !!
Best chips in town! Thick, flavorful, crispy. Huevos Rancheros can't be beat. Everything else is somewhere between very good and excellent. I wish they didn't have that loud, annoying Karaoke singer in the evenings, though. I never go there anytime after mid-afternooon for that reason.
I live in Humboldt so there are plenty of great options in the area such as El Patron or Tacqueria el Chignon but I'd put Chema's on the list of top 5 local Taco Joints for a variety of reasons. Attention to food quality, authenticity, service and portions being the main ones.
Tacos are insanely delicious. Nice portions-- the tacos are stuffed and perfectly seasoned. The sauces provided are a bit spicy but a nice addition. Usually, when I pick up they are having karaoke night so be ready to shout your order. Lbs nonetheless, the people are really nice and welcoming

The tortas de milanesa are really good, sometimes you will get a bigger bread than this, but always good and the meat is soft, the salsa are delicious if you like spicy
Chemas was the best authentic Mexican restaurant we could have asked for! The burritos are top-notch, the sauces are amazing and the tacos were superb. We were able to dine in and order takeout. Full bar was great too! They had karaoke on some nights and we enjoyed singing Selena!
